JEREMY FAISON FOR TENNESSEE

East Tennessee's Conservative Voice!

When it comes to government, I’m 100% dedicated to conservative principles, not party politics. Every single day when I’m in Session at the state Capitol, I fight to ensure our East Tennessee conservative values are represented. Even if it means voting against my own party. My wife Miriam and I have 5 children, Beka, Regan, Gage, Asher, and Tucker. My family is truly my greatest pride in life and they are the reason I stand every day to fight back against oppressive, big government.

JEREMY FAISON ON THE ISSUES

The Issues That Matter Most!

When it comes to the issues that matter most to East Tennesseans, I’m your ear here at home and your voice in Nashville at the Capitol. When I first ran for office, I made a promise to always vote for these values. To this day, I’ve kept that promise.

HEALTHCARE

When I ask, healthcare is the number one issue for so many people across East Tennessee. It’s my belief that big government has dug so deep into healthcare, passing so many laws, that it’s left us with an absolute disaster. Government bureaucrats who have never stepped foot into a hospital have absolutely no place dictating the doctor-patient relationship. Asking for more government to solve a problem that government created will never fix our broken system. It is my hope that I can work to influence the federal government to loosen its grip on the healthcare market so that we can see cost reduction and a reemergence of the doctor-patient relationship. I will continue to work towards any path that encourages this solution.

ECONOMY

I have worked to ensure Tennessee’s taxes remain as low as possible on both businesses and individuals, and I will continue to do so. Because I firmly believe that no one knows better how to spend your money better than yourself, I’ve never met a tax-cut I didn’t like. I also believe that government should never become a burden on American entrepreneurs. As a state, we should work to ensure a level playing field and healthy environment for all businesses both big and small. However, corporate welfare with government picking winners and losers in the market must come to an end because it threatens our free-market system. With competition in the market and the allowance of true free-market principles, Tennessee consumers will benefit most.

EDUCATION

Every elected official wants to be remembered as a champion for education. It’s a nice notion, but one of stolen credit. The real champions of education are found in the classroom. I believe the more Washington D.C. and Nashville stay out of the local education system, the better off our children, parents and faculty are. Every classroom should be fully funded across our state, and teachers should be well-compensated for the incredible labor of love they devote to our children on a daily basis.

CONSTITUTION

While I am an avid hunter, I’ll never tell you that the 2nd Amendment has anything to do with hunting. It doesn’t. The right to keep and bear arms was written by our Founding Fathers not only for personal protection, but also for protection from tyrannical government. With that in mind, I firmly believe that the constitutions of the United States and Tennessee are the backbones that should protect all Tennesseans. The closer we govern within the confines of our founding documents, the stronger we are as a state. When we deviate from these restrictions placed on government, all parties suffer.

LIFE

I am completely pro-life and I believe in doing everything we can as a state to stop late-term and partial-birth abortions. Using abortion as a means of birth control is a societal blight. I’ve been endorsed by the Tennessee Right to Life due to my pro-life voting record, and I’m very proud of that endorsement.

VETERANS

The men and women who gave their best years to protect our freedom and way of life deserve all the protection we can provide them. I’m dedicated to ensuring their needs are met in every way I can when they return home to Tennessee from the battlefield.
